This was one of the most challenging shoots of my life. We gathered sixteen long-haired women from across the island of Bali, bringing them together on the southern coast at 4 a.m. Four hairstylists worked tirelessly to weave their hair into a single living connection - some with their natural locks, others with extensions seamlessly blended in.
The women came from many places: mostly Indonesians, but also from Russia, Germany, Switzerland, and Africa. Together, lying on the dry reef, they formed a tapestry of sisterhood - bound not only by their hair, but by the shared energy of the moment.
